The Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology specializes in the field of musculoskeletal disorders. The main focus is on the arms, legs, pelvis and spine, as well as the bones, muscles, blood vessels and nerves.
Orthopedics treats congenital or acquired dysfunctions, deformities and disabilities of the musculoskeletal system, while traumatology deals with the treatment of injuries resulting from physical trauma (such as traffic accidents and industrial accidents) and musculoskeletal injuries.
The Orthopedics and Traumatology Department collaborates with the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Departments.
