The Lung and Chest Diseases Department is a major specialty that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of lung and respiratory diseases.
Pulmonologists take a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of diseases, including allergic diseases, lung cancer, and respiratory diseases that occur during sleep. Doctors in this department also draft medical reports.
Lung cancer, asthma, allergies, bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, pleurisy, sleep apnea, sarcoidosis, and pulmonary embolism are the main diseases included in the scope of practice of the Department of Lung and Chest Diseases. To diagnose these diseases, advanced radiological imaging techniques are available in our hospital. In addition, various diagnostic methods are used, including pulmonary function tests, Maximal inspiratory pressure (MIP) and maximal expiratory pressure (MEP), spirometry, lung diffusion test, reversibility test, and slow spirometry.
