The eyes are one of the most important sensory organs.

By far the most important organs of sense are our eyes. We perceive up to 70 per cent of all impressions by means of our sight and without eyesight, nothing of great importance would happen; therefore, we must pay serious attention to our eyes and their health. The Department of Ophthalmology at Cyprus Central Hospital provides all outpatient services for your eyes. You cannot afford to neglect your health and please stay healthy. Below is a list of services offered by the Ophthalmology Department;

  • Ophthalmologic examination (abnormal pupil reaction) and Contact Lens applications

  • Glaucoma Examination Diagnosis, Treatment and Surgery

  • Strabismus (crossed eyes), monitoring and treatment

  • Retinal diseases, diagnosis and monitoring

  • Corneal Diseases

  • Eye Infections

  • From 6 months onwards, all children are examined, monitored and treated for eye disorders.

  • Diseases of lens and treatment (Cataract surgery)
