Cephalometric X-Rays
Cephalometric x-rays are commonly used for patients who need corrective treatment and surgery. Cephalometric x-rays assess the size of the bones of the head and face and their position in relation to each other.
Cephalometric x-rays allow the skull bones and soft tissues to be visualized in anterior, posterior, and lateral positions on the same x-ray. Cephalometric x-rays taken before and after orthodontic treatment are compared to the patient's initial and final condition.
Cephalometric x-rays can be taken before treatment to plan treatment and to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment during and after treatment.
